Cancellation Policy
WMAW always has a long wait list that gradually is reduced as people cancel or make alternate plans. We have long tried to accommodate even last-minute cancellations with full or partial refunds. Unfortunately, the world of covid has complicated this in a way we cannot control: in order to continue to exist and operate, the Dekoven Center has had to alter its own policies, and now requires us to pay for the site in full, in advance, without an option to refund in case of COVID shutdown. The event will be rescheduled in the case of a shutdown.

As WMAW costs tens of thousands of dollars to host, we are forced to change our own policies. Here's what this means to you:

May 15th is the last day for refunds -- no exceptions!

We will send cut-off reminders well in advance, so no one is caught unawares. We understand that sometimes life intervenes abruptly, so although refunds will not be issued after the cutoff date of May 15th:

1.) You may transfer your registration at any time to another person, but you must notify the WMAW registrar of your intention.
2.) If you do not have someone you wish to transfer your registration to, the Registrar can assist you by announcing a registration is available to the waiting list upon request.
3.) Remuneration for any transfers is to be handled between the two private parties -- WMAW 2024 will not be involved in facilitating payment.
4.) If we have to postpone the event for any reason(such as another covid outbreak) your registration will be held and automatically transferred for the rescheduled date

I have read and understand the new cancellation policy detailed above, and understand that there will be no refunds from WMAW 2024 after May 15, 2024, though I may transfer my registration to another party.

I understand that should I decide to transfer my registration neither WMAW 2024 nor its staff will engage in the negotiation or exchange of money and that I am responsible for notifying WMAW of the change in registration along with relevant contact information for the replacement registrant.

Covid Policy
As Covid-19 is now endemic and a permanent part of our lives, we expect all our participants to be fully vaccinated against it, with the latest updated booster, but we will not be verifying or requiring proof of vaccination. However, as we have seen in the past, the situation is fluid. Should the situation change, for instance with a surge of new deadly variant that requires additional safeguards, we reserve the right to require said proof and refuse admittance to anyone who does not comply. The above cancellation policy will apply to this situation.
